Goldies Live

The Goldies Charity are well known and loved for our daytime Sing&Smile sessions across England and Wales, fun social groups where people come together to sing-a-long to the popular hits of the 50s onwards, chat and laugh along with friends. These monthly sessions, alongside intergenerational activities, Age Awareness days, concerts and festive celebrations are open to everyone, but in particular aim to combat isolation with older adults, building stronger communities and supportive relationships.

The COVID-19 pandemic has meant the temporary closure of all our Sing&Smile sessions for the foreseeable future. Goldies has adapted quickly with the launch of our first ever digital service - GoldiesLive - fun, free online sing-a-long sessions every Tuesday and Thursday released at 11.00am. These are pre-recorded sessions so they can be watched at leisure and joined from the comfort of the living room. Our participants sing-a-long to the popular hits of the 50s onwards with onscreen words, take part in movement to music activities supporting physical health, make songs requests and share special occasions on Facebook/YouTube/email, enjoy our festive celebrations, try out Bollywood dance and Welsh Language sessions and keep informed of health and wellbeing information from Age Awareness organisations.
